  Our girls name is Madden (our fave anyway). ?It's different and people have their opinions about it, but I think it's beautiful. ?It's so hard finding a great name!?

  Oh I wanted to name DS Meyer.  It thought I was the strangest person for liking it.  I'm kind of reassured to know someone else out there would consider it.

  As for less common girls' names, I like Celia and Dahlia.

  What do you mean by uncommon?  There are names that are uncommon because they are popular, and their are names that are uncommon but very trendy/popular now.  For example, I've never heard of many people with the boys names you listed, but I heard them on this board ALL the time, so in my mind, they aren't uncommon anymore as we're now going to have a generation of kids with these names.

  Thanks everyone! By uncommon I just would like my child not to have to be called by their last initial in class. Jennifer M. vs. Jennifer S. or something like that (although Jennifer is a lovely name). I just prefer something a little less popular.
