S/O of my post below - have you found pants that fit short boys well? Target's 12 months are slightly too short and small in the butt, the 18 months are too big. Am I going to have take his clothes to be altered???
I have the same problem with Target pants. there is a huge difference between 12mo and 18mo. I've just been rolling them. Old Navy's 18-24 jeans seem to be better, the other 18-24 (like sweats) are too long!
I roll his jeans, but I am having his jonjons, rompers and longalls hemmed (which is what he wears 90% of the time). He's actually NOT short, but his legs are (90% height, but most of it's body), so he has to go up a size too fit right in the crotch, which makes the legs SUPER long.

We've had good luck with Osh Kosh pants fitting when others were too long. DS is small for his age - he's 15 months right now and their 12 month pants are just about right.

DS is currently wearing a pair of Carter's jeans that are 9m size. He also has a pair of Carter's khakis that are 6m size that fit him perfectly.
It's SO hard to find pants for a short legged kid! Luckily, he's pretty skinny too, so the smaller sizes fit him in the waist.

My little William is the same way! I can't believe he still fits into some of his 6-9 month pants!
Re: ...and another thing - pants for short boys?
Ha ha... the early 90's peg roll... we could totally bring it back!
The jumping beans brand at Kohls seems to work for us. He can wear 18 months.
This. I just roll. I'm grateful to Gap for having adorable lining in their pants, so it doesn't look so bad.
