There was a post a few months back that I thought I had saved somewhere, but can't find it. We're working on loose ends in the nursery and I want to make sure that I have our diaper changing area stocked with all the essentials.
I'm not coming up with much on my own, so what do you have in easy reach?
Thanks!
Re: Changing Table Essentials
diapers, wipes, diaper rash ointment, alcohol wipes for cord care (if that's what you're instructed to do), nail clippers, infant tylenol, hand sanitizer, thermometer, extra changing pad covers (or some of the ugly or too small receiving blankets or hooded towels that everyone gets).
In addition, we always had washcloths to cover the penis during diaper changes (essential for a boy, but I hear pretty handy for a girl too) and extra sleepers or whatever they're wearing in case of an accident on the clothes during a change. Currently we also keep socks there, baby q-tips, other meds, toothbrush and toothpaste, pacis, and other smaller things
My stock:
Diapers, wipes, butt paste, infant tylenol, lotion, and a keychain maraca LOL.
Under the changer I have burp clothes, thermometer (both forehead and rectal), vaseline (for rectal therm), alcohol wipes (cord stump and cleaning rectal therm LOL) and extra changing pads - I highly suggest THESE so you won't have to change after every spit up or small leak.
