There's a playgroup that meets Wednesday and Friday from 930 to noonish. I was told about it at church. I was planning to go today, but Jacob didn't wake up until after 9. It'll be about 10 by the time I can get there. Would you just show up a little late? Or would you wait until Friday. I'm pretty shy IRL, it took me a week to work up to courage just to go. But I'll feel really self conscious showing up late the first time.
WWYD? Go today, or wait until Friday?
Re: Would you still go?
I'd go.
But I do love a big entrance.
I'm the same way but I would go - it's so nice to meet other mom's and just talk to someone who gets what you are going through!!
Besides, everyone know having a baby/LO's make you late sometimes
GO!
I would probably go. People with kids--especially kids the same age as your LO--will understand that it takes awhile to get out of the house and you can't always plan these things.
IME - you would be amazed at how few of the parents and babies probably showed up at 9:30 on the dot. Usually play groups are long like that 2.5-3 hours because every baby is on a different nap schedule and so the longer the play group the more opportunity for more babies to come at various times during the play date. Some who did come at 9:30 will probably leave early for their 11 or noon nap.
So go and have fun with baby.
This. Have fun!
