Hey! We saw Dr. E today - just curious - he recommended not getting the h1n1 vaccine for Andrew. I was shocked and had planned on getting it for the household.  I'm not sure what to do now.  Did you talk to him about it?'

(He did recommend the regular flu shot)

    Really? That suprises me too. What was his rationale? I honestly can't remember if we talked about that but I thought we did. Does he think you and your DH should get it? I'm such a mess about this h1n1 crap...

    I'm an idiot and forgot to ask him about DH and I.  Anyway, it still confuses me, but he said that

    -he isn't worried about Andrew getting it because he gets breastmilk

    -his kids aren't getting the vaccine

    -he doesn't think that vaccine is "bad", but unnecessary and that it sounds like he doesn't have confidence in the vaccine itself

     

    If you talk to him again, let me know what he says.  We talked about it a while.  

    I know how you feel - I've been scared about Andrew getting the flu (any flu) too!
