I was wondering if any of y'all know anything about or use Dr. Jeffrey Rogers in Fort Worth as a pediatrician? I am trying to pick someone for the baby and I was thinking about using him. I found some reviews online but wondered if anyone here has used him.
I looked into Fort Worth Pediatrics, but it doesn't seem like hardly any of their doctors are accepting new patients. If there is someone you would recommend in Fort Worth or nearby, please let me know.
Also, whenever I do pick a pediatrician, what do I say when I call them? That might be a dumb question but I don't really know how to go about setting all this up since this is my first kid.
Thanks!
Re: Pediatrician Question - Fort Worth
I tired to get an appointment to at least meet him before I picked a pedi, and his office always canceled on me for some reason or another. I gave up after that.
Fort Worth Pediatrics has a great doc that should still be accepting patients, Readinger. He is so patient with DD everytime we see him, he is also patient with all my first time mom questions.
I know you've already gotten suggestions, but thought I'd give you another. I love love love Dr. Jennifer Hudman at Azle Pedatrics. I called around to a few offices and her staff was the most helpful. I had no idea what to ask either. The receptionist told me what all new moms usually wanted to know. They have separate sick and well hours and weekend rotations for in-office visits. Those were the couple of things I remember her telling me. Dr. Hudman is awesome. She stays in the room until all questions have been asked and answered. I've never felt like she was rushing to see the next patient. I can't say enough good things about her!

When I took my hospital tour I was given a list of doctors that have rights to that hospital. I picked Emily's doctor off of that list. I just called their office a couple weeks before she was born to see if they required any paperwork or notification before she was born - which they didn't. But every office is different.
We use Dr. Julee Morrow (Fort Worth Pediatrics) SW FW. We have seen Dr Reidinger for a weekend appointment and he was great too. I have a friend that uses Dr. McGeehee, and loves him.
When we interviewed, I asked about weekend and evening appointments, Calling with questions when Liam was sick, or when I didn't know what to do. I also asked how long the typical office wait is. I also made sure she was associated w/ Cooks. Good luck! The nurse is wonderful and usually calls us back w/in the hour. In fact I called about diaper rash yesterday.
