He said, "hi my name's Joseph" and before he could get another word out I said something like "hi Joseph, it's 9:40 and I've got children sleeping (apparently I'm already getting used to saying children), so I am not interested in anything you have to sell and you need to take us off your call list" then he tried to clarify that it was some sort of survey and I interrupted and said that I didn't care, it's still too late and take us off your list. Couldn't believe twice after "nine"! (noticed I didn't say that right up top)
it's the same with working in a collection agency (i do insurance customer service and the 2nd part of the company is collections) and I would hate to be the person calling that late!!
i just about took out a UPS guy for ding dong dicthing!! i knew they leave the package but did he need to ring the door bell then just walk away without seeing if i would come to the door!! i just put DS down to nap and UPS man just rang the bell, then walked to his truck before i even got to the door! telemarketing and all that needs to stop!!

I know! I used to even put up a sign- Baby sleeping-do not disturb... I think I better make a new one! just wish there was a way to do it on the phone. We have the volume completely down on all the upstairs phones though, so hopefully that'll never wake up dd.

I have a sign that I have on my door. I got the idea from another nestie, I cant remember who. But this is what it says.
They baby is sleeping. If you ring the door bell the dogs will bark the baby will wake and I will be forced to shoot you. lol
It got all the neighborhood kids to stop ringing the door bell. And I can only imagine what the pizza guy thought when he saw it! lol But hey it worked!
i am going to make that sign!! we got rid of the dog and i thougth that would help but the door bell is so much louder when the dog is not barking after it!! Crafting tomorrow!!
We are seriously considering getting rid of our land line because of all of the telemarketing calls we still get. So much for the "do not call" list. There are too many ways to get around the rules of that list.
I also hate it when UPS does the "ding dong ditch". If you're just doing to drop the package and scamper back to your truck, why do you need to ring the bell?!
