What is the largest number of children in a family that you know, personally, and how do you know them?

One of mine and DH's best friends is the oldest of 6 kids. My grandfather was also one of (about) 9, but some of them died before I was born and I know even less of them.

A family that are patients at my work have 12 kids...

people I REALLY know? My BIL is one of 10 and my stepmom is one of 9! Irish Catholics... LOL!

There's a family in my town who had 20 kids. I was friends growing up with a granddaughter of the family. They weren't opposed to birth control for any religious or other reason, just kind of backward.

My family used to go to church with a family that had 10 kids. When the oldest got married the youngest was 2.

Another family had 8 kids, the oldest was my age (from a previous marriage) and then 7 with her second husband. All of the kids have J names...and they are all stunning!

I have a great aunt with 16. I can name about 11 of them. The youngest is about 4 years younger than me.

My dad was the youngest of 10 and my mom was the middle of 9.

I was a year between the two youngest of a family of 7 in school.

I know a family who has 13 kids. We went to the same church in Indianapolis when I was growing up. (Though when they moved to Florida, they "only" had 10 or 11 kids so I haven't met them all.) They're actually a pretty amazing family. I know another family with 10 kids (also from church), including two consecutive sets of identical twins, which is fairly rare.
