cramping without spotting

Today I had some crazy cramping. Not anything terrible, but it just made me concerned. I would have sworn I had my period if it wasn't for the lack of spotting/bleeding. Every time I peed I felt like I had to investigate to make sure there wasn't any bleeding. I feel like it's somewhat gone now, but I just wanted to see what you ladies thought. Is it concerning enough to call the doc?

I'm almost as far along as you and i have had intermittent cramping almost every day...no spotting so i dont think you should be too concerned. For what its worth all the books i have been reading say its normal to have some cramping in the 1st tri. Call though if it will put your mind at ease

I say it never hurts to check with your doctor, but I had cramping pretty bad in week 3 and a little less frequently in week 4. Not so much cramping now, but every now and then I'll still get cramps.

I had this with both of my pregnancies around the 3-5 week mark. ?Totally normal, but if it makes you feel better, call the doctor.

I had this a lot in week 4 and then in week 5 it got better and in week 6 it is almost gone. I've been told that it's just your uterus growing and not to worry.

I've had cramping all along with no bleeding. I'm either 5 or 6 weeks. I always check for blood when I go to the bathroom b/c I'm always concerned. My doctor saw me immediately b/c of the cramps. If you call your doctor they usually take you earlier if you have any uncomfortable symptoms of concern. It made me feel better to start seeing the dr right away and regularly. Plus, she saw me a week later and I've had 2 ultrasounds so far. She said cramping can be normal or can be a sign of miscarriage. It seems like miscarriage cramps are more intense.

I also have a pain that I thought was part of my cramps but the ultrasound showed that I have a cyst on my ovary right where I was complaining. Also, some of my cramping ends up being abdominal cramping b/c once I go to the bathroom the cramps stop.

I had the same thing in the early weeks and then it stopped and now in week 9 it is back again, I called my dr. and she said it is normal and not be concerned unlesss there was bleeding with it. good luck

At 5 weeks, I had the worst cramps of my pregnancy. Awful back cramps and I also spotted, I was so nervous b/c I previously miscarried and I thought that it was happening again. It wasn't and I had a healthy son. It is so easy for people to say not to worry. I know that you are going to but I'm sure that everything will be okay. If it will help ease your mind, ask for an appt. and an ultra sound to make sure everything is okay. I did and the first time there was no heartbeat we had to go back a week later. It was the longest week of my life. Good luck!
