I debated posting this, but a wise friend (thanks A) said perhaps it would help inspire some people.
The AW: Almost 6 months after having my daughter, I can comfortably run 5 miles on any given day and have lost 40 pounds. I ran 8 miles a few weeks ago and have a 9 mile run scheduled for Sunday, I have no doubt in my mind that I can do these runs.
The inspiration: I did not work out at all during my pregnancy and didn't work out all that much before getting pregnant. I hope those who are thinking about starting an exercise program, but think they can't do it, can look at my experience and know that it is possible to start from nothing and work your way up to something. It did hurt in the beginning, but now I actually enjoy it!
Re: An AW and possibly some inspiration for you

That's awesome!
Thanks and thanks everyone!
I am still breastfeeding, which I think helped, I try to watch what I eat and I also cut out most dairy products from my diet (we thought my daughter had an issue with dairy and I just continued with it).
First off, congratulations - what accomplishments!
Secondly, thank you for posting this. I have gained quite a bit already in my pregnancy, and I've been feeling depressed about the way I look. I know my body is going through changes for a good reason, but it doesn't help the way I feel.
I am looking forward to baby, but I'm also hoping to have my own AW post about losing 40 pounds post-baby too.
Thank you for the inspiration!
YOU really are an INSPIRATION. I think you are absolutely amazing. You should be proud!!

You are most definitely an inspiration to me. There are still times where I will be out there and just want to give up, but I just think about crossing that finish line with you & A and it gets me through to the next 1/2 mile...and the next, and the next.
Great job!!
Wow, that is awesome, you are such a strong person (don't know why you wouldn't want to post -- very inspirational!). I know my mom always talks about motherhood making you physically stronger and more capable of things. I'm not quite there yet but I've seen my cousins become runners after becoming moms.
Keep it up!!
