Who else is having really bad nights?? I was in tears last night

LO has been driving me nuts the past few days. She normally doesnt sleep too well at night and will not sleep in her own bed often. But last few nights she has been nursing a lot and when she is done she will not fall into a deep sleep. She grunts (the most annoying noise by the way) and squrims all the time making it impossible for me to sleep. We had to resort to putting the bouncy chair in outr bed on vibrate (with her in it) in order to get her to go down at all. Now of course she is sleeping like a rock. She sleeps better during the day. I got ZERO sleep until 8:00 this morning and then only maybe an hour. Im going crazy...

  • Last night was so tough. DD has her first cold and couldn't breathe. It sucks! I was up all night removing her boogers and making sure she was ok. Poor baby. She's still sleeping right now, so I made some coffee. I need to be awake and alive. I'm running low on fumes :-)

    many times.

  • Growth spurt! We are going through the same thing right now. I am seriously falling alseep at my dest at work.  DD will go to sleep about 8 and sleep till 11 then it's over! Last night she was up from 11-2:30, slept till 3:15 and up till 4:30 then up again at 6 and when I dropped her off at my sister's at 7:10 she was asleep!  I am dreading tonight again. We have been at this for about 4 days so I am hoping it's almost over!!

  • that sounds like our night exactly  :(

he just had a growth spurt so I'm not sure exactly why he's eating so often but he's getting into a habit of eating more frequently at night than during the day- I think it's because he is half awake and loses interest faster at night. Normally he will grunt and squirm and EVENTUALLY fall asleep after each feed (like yours!) but last night he was wide awake -- all night. I hope you get some rest- I finally gave in at 8am and let him sleep on my chest and we got two good hours of sleep....ugh.

  • Oh man, do I know how you feel! I had the exact same night last night, and it's been happening off and on for a few weeks. DD does the same exact thing with the grunting. This morning, she did it from 7 - 9 am, so I got up thinking she was about to wake up. Then, she slept another 2 hours! That's 2 hours of sleep I could have had, but I had no idea she was going to sleep that long. UGH!

I wish I had a solution. Swaddling helped in the beginning, but now she gets out of it, so I'm thinking of getting another type of swaddle blanket (I currently use aden and anais). I use white noise, and the room is dark and a nice temp.
