1st Trimester

worried...I dont feel pregnant???

so I am almost 6 weeks and I dont really feel pregnant.....I mean I have some signs..sore boobs, cramps,. discharge, some headaches, a slight wave of sickness every once in awhile...some times I get very tired, but its like all my symtoms are sometimes, not something I have all the time

but I really dont feel pregnant...I almost wish I would start throwing up or something????

Should I be worried? Anyone else feel this way?

Re: worried...I dont feel pregnant???

  • I had less symptoms than you. Some people never have any. You have a ton of symptoms IMO.

  • I am the exact same way.  I actually feel really good which is making me worry!   My boobs aren't as sore, I don't have the fatigue everyone talks about, I haven't thrown up, etc.  I go have some symptoms sometimes but not all the time, like you said.

From what I understand, it's normal for them to come and go.  Also, we're still pretty early, we could have bad times ahead!
  • Those sound like pregnancy symptoms to me!

I understand how you feel, though.  Just be thankful it's not worse right now!

  • relax and don't worry about it.  I know how you feel though.  I went through that for the first few weeks.  Now... I want those weeks back.  I don't have m/s per-say but feel nauseous today.  ugh!

  • It sounds like you are definitely having pregnancy symptoms! And be thankful you arent throwing up! I have heard many people say they felt their worse starting at 6 weeks, so hopefully you will miss the boat on m/s, but it still may be too early to tell.  My best friend never had m/s or threw up her entire pregnancy. I dont think there is any need to worry. :-)

  • My only symptom is pinching in my belly... nothing else.  I wish I felt more pregnant, too (maybe everything but the m/s)!

  • You know, it is still pretty early for you to be feeling pregnant.  I've done this four times now, and I just texted my SIL (L&D nurse) last week (at 6 weeks 6 days) saying I just didn't feel pregnant (I wanted her to get me on the hospital's u/s machine).  Then, like two days later, it really hit me.  Now I have all day sickness, eating all the time to try to make it go away, etc.  I think you should wait a few more weeks, and I'll bet you anything you will be going, "Oh yeah, what was I thinking before?"  Try not to worry...it is so hard in the first tri b/c you just want some sort of window into your uterus to make sure everything is fine (it's so much easier once baby starts moving, but even then can be scary).  Just trust that your body knows what it is doing!  :)
  • Mine hit me about where you are now in your pregnancy. Some ladies don't get it until later in their 1st tri, and some are lucky and don't get m/s at all!!
  • thanks guys, you make me feel better........I just always thought I would be really sick since my mom was.........I guess it could still hit at any time....

  • I wish you wouldn't hope for m/s. I have been miserable for 6 weeks. Please be glad you're lucky this far

  • Be careful what you wish for, I started feeling terrible around week 8.  It's no fun.

  • I understand how you may be worried but trust me you're lucky.  I've been unbearably sick with m/s since week 6.  You're also pretty early on so you still may develop symptoms as time passes.  If I were you, I would just enjoy it.
  • Honestly, you don't really *feel* PG until you have a belly.  Try to enjoy this time =)

  • My sister-in-law and two friends were all pregnant last year, and had no symptoms at all. Less than you've had already. So don't worry about it. I'd be thankful!
  • TRUST ME - you dont want m/s any sooner than you have to. It sucks! And truthfully doesn't make me feel any more pregnant - just gross.

Try and relax. I didn't really feel preg until I was at about 8 weeks. The one and only symptom I had until them was sleepiness which isn't new for me - I have a crazy schedule and tend to be sleepy a lot :)

     You'll be fine :)

  • When people "wish" for morning sickness, it makes me want to scream.  I've been sicker than a dog for the last 6 weeks.  PLEASE DO NOT WISH FOR IT.  You don't HAVE to be sick to be pregnant.  You should hope that you feel great!!!  I wish I had no symptoms at all!!!
