Hey all, I'm new here. Just had a question.
According to FF I ovulated 6 days ago. Had the thermal shift, temps have stayed up, it's consistent with past cycles, etc. I'm inclined to believe that's when I actually ovulated.
But this AM... crazy EWCM. I could go TMI on you but let's just say it's significantly more rubbery and stretchy than right when I was ovulating...
So... I'm confused.
Anyone have experience with EWCM after ovulation? What did you do?
Re: EWCM after Ovulation?
No such thing as TMI on this board
(Well, maybe snatchbubble's PIP).
It is possible to have EWCM after O. Can you link your chart? Maybe FF has your O date wrong after all.
Hello, and welcome.
Yes, some do get fertile CM after O. Just mark it on your chart to keep track, but it does occur for sure.
I also had a destination wedding (Virgin Islands)-- how fun!!
Yes, I have. It's rather common.
What did I do? I marked it in my chart and FF changed my CHs from solid to dotted.
And AF came 2 days later, so no, I wasn't PG.
HTH
I get EWCM after O. You can look at my last two charts (link in siggy). This morning I swear I had a tid bit of EWCM when I wiped and I am either 8-10 DPO.
I had the largest amount of EWCM I had ever had on CD30 (which I think is after I O'd).
TTC #1 since June 2009: irregular cycles
BFP 1/20/10, EDD 9/28/10, born 10/5/10
TTC #2 since Nov 2011:
BFP 2/8/12, MC @ 5 weeks; BFP 3/22/12, MC @ 5 1/2 weeks; BFP 9/10/12, MC @ 6 weeks
Started seeing RE Nov 2012. Chromosomal test and all other tests came back "normal". Unexplained MCs. Found mild hytpothyroidism. Two unmedicated cycles, both BFNs. First medicated cycle (clomid, ovidrel) 1/23/13. Low progesterone found during 9DPO P4 test = 7.6. Put on prometrium supplements.
BFP 2/16/13; 2/18/13 (13 dpo): Beta #1=52.8, progesterone=18.7; estrogen = 412; Dr. increased progesterone dosage.
2/21/13 (16 dpo): Beta #2 = 269; progesterone = 32.4
2/25/13 (20 dpo): Beta #3 = 1,236
2/28/13 (23 dpo): Beta #4 = ?? tbd
If there's no such thing as TMI then I can tell you it was like rubber cement.
That thick and not goopy but firm.
Just read that it's normal to have EWCM about a week after ovulation...
I noticed that I have some egg white cervical mucus around 7 or 8 DPO. Is this a sign that I have low progesterone?
DR. AMOS:
EWCM comes from an estrogen increase. That usually happens several days prior to ovulation. But it also happens about a week after ovulation. So seeing EWCM again at that time is not unusual.
But here's my chart anyhow.
