xp digital test

did you find a digital preg test to be more accurate?  i mean i *think* i saw a line, and am going crazy right now and thinking about taking a 30 min drive to go get a digital test.  if it was a line, will the digital test give me a yes, or will it take a few more days with the digital??

Re: xp digital test

  • I took a dollar tree test the first time and thought I saw something but was not sure. I went and got a line one and digital. I took the line first and the line was a little darker but not much. Digital confirmed.

  • I agree with the pp--I took a EPT and saw a faint line then later that day took a digital to confirm. GL to you!

  • Do you know how many DPO you are or might be? The digital isn't quite as sensitive as a line test. My husband needs the words spelled out for him so once I thought I saw a line, I went and bought a digital. I waited until the next morning and used my first pee to be sure it was as concentrated as it could be.

Same here, although I think mine was a FRER.  Either way, there was no question about the line I had on it, though.  If I only thought I saw a line, I probably would have waited until the next morning and used FMU (if I could stand to wait that long).

  • Very confused---why are you posting this on the 2nd tri board?

Digital tests are less sensitive than traditional tests. However, there is no question as to the RESULT of the test. There is no line to interpret---it either says pregnant or not pregnant. However, if your HCG levels are very low, you may get a positive on a traditional, more sensitive test and a negative on a less sensitive digital test. Wait until tomorrow and retry with first morning urine. No need to run out for a digital, unless you just can't wait that is.

  • I don't trust them.  I had a false positive a few years back when DH and I were dating.

  • I used the lines one with DD and got a very faint double line. This time around I did a digital and got a positive and then took one with the lines and got a very very faint second line. It was really fun to watch the timer blink, blink, blink and then the word "pregnant" popped up. I do agree though, you need to take it in the morning with your first pee of the day, especially if you think you might have had a light positive you could possibly get a false negative if you take another test today.
