If you have a BOB Duallie...

...do you have the snack tray?  A few of the reviews say it sits way too high to be used as a tray for a child younger than 3 or 4, but other reviews say once installed properly, it's fine.  Also, I'm not excited about spending $90 for a snack tray (I don't need the car seat adapter feature), so has anyone found a better solution that will keep cheerios and puffs from piling up in the seats of the stroller?

    I don't have the BOB...I have the BabyJogger City Elite and did not buy the snack tray because of bad reviews like the BOB's.  I just bought the belly bar because she likes to hold onto it at times.  I just give DD one of the "snack trap" cups that has a lid where she can reach in and grab some but it won't all fall out.  She still drops a few but at the end of a 45-min neighborhood walk, I only have to pick up about 5 Cheerios (or other snack) out of the seat.  It's not too bad.

    we have the duallie tray/bar and did not like it. the tray also blocked DS's view and none of his cups fit in the cup holder either. we bought ours in late 2007, maybe they've improved? or maybe not if they are still getting bad reviews. you are welcome to try ours if you want to test it out! jakbutler at austin dot rr dot com

    I have a revolution, not the duallie, but we do have the snack tray and I agree that it blocks DS's view... Since it doesn't hold cups of normal size, it's pretty much worthless for that purpose, but lthough infant seat feature was a lifesaver to me post partum, so I'm glad I have it!

    We bought it for our Duallie and my 2 year old has no problem using it.  I usually put her drink there and some goldfish on the tray and she can reach both.  I don't have her strapped in real tight though.  We bought because we did need the infant car seat adaptor.  If we hadn't ever needed that I don't know that I would have spent $70 dollars on it.

    We have the BOB Duallie and we do not have the snack tray. We use those "clip rings" (like the ones you use on activity mats and such) and we 'link' the snack cups to the harness so kids don't drop their snack cups. As for the mess sometimes I just give the kids Mums Mums and they are A LOT less messy than other snacks. HTH...
