Babies: 9 - 12 Months

Working moms come in please! (daycare costs)

I am trying to get back to work and am looking at what to do for DS.  I have no idea what daycare costs.  If you don't mind answering, what do you pay a daycare center or a babysitter/nanny?  I would be needing 3 or 4 days a week.

TIA!

Re: Working moms come in please! (daycare costs)

  • $125 a week for 4 days.  This is for an in-home dcp and it is more like 3-1/2 days since Fridays are half days.

  • In-home licensed, 4 days a week.

    $175 for C and $200/w for J.

  • This is very, very regional.  In my area, full time daycare center care is 1400/month.

Call a few daycare centers and just ask them.  You may also have a hard time w/ just paying for PT care.

  • I pay 50 dollars per day.  He goes twice a week
  • Wow, that is cheap. The reason I SAH is because daycare costs here are out of control. The cheapest center I found was $255 a week. The in home provider I was scheduled to go with was $1000 a month.

I found 1 lady that would do it for $170 a week, but she had a tiny house and it was very cluttered, I just didn't have a good feeling. Plus she wanted 3 weeks paid vacation/sick.

  • we're in Indiana too, in a large-ish town/city. Liam's at a center full-time. it's $740 a month. It's definitely not the cheapest place in town, but it's not the most expensive either. (actually, there are only a few places here that i know of that are more expensve, and they're between $800-$1000 a month).

  • $185.00 per week..... 5 days a week

    I like privacy. A lot.
  • I live in TX and pay $720 a month for a center. There are very few places here that will do part time for an infant.
  • Our nanny is $12 an hour; centers here are about $300/wk full time.
  • we pay 250 a week for full time infant room here in jersey
