NBR: Winter Planters

I want to keep my baskets full out on my porch through the winter. I usually plant pansies in the flower beds for the winter. They bloom all winter long. So I want something like that for my baskets, but having them out of the ground will prob kill them.

Any suggestions of what to plant in containers etc. I saw cabbage but didnt know if you guys might have other ideas!

    You can but they die off once it hits Jan. I want something that will bloom for a while. I guess I need to head out to LA Reynolds and get some advice.

    Last year, I planted some of the purple cabbage and pansies in my planters. The cabbage didn't make it through the winter, but the pansies did.
