When you want to use them, do you microwave for a few until they're mushable or do you thaw for while in the fridge? I would think microwave but IDK if that messes with the food since its been frozen...
i always mix BM w/mine, so i don't microwave them. i just thaw them in the fridge overnight. i've "speeded up" the thawing by putting the container in a bowl of hot water, just like heating up a bottle.
I use the defrost feature on the microwave and for 2-3 cubes it only takes about 30 seconds and it can be mashed up. There are some hot spots though so I have to mix it up real good.
I thaw in the fridge, but sometimes it doesn't thaw all the way through so I micro it for 30 seconds at 50% power and make sure to mix it up really well.
Re: if you have frozen purees in ice cube trays...
I also don't leave the cubes in the trays, I put them in freezer bags.
