Greeting card = great toy

Recently DS found a card the DH got for father's day.  It plays the Indiana Jones theme song and it became DS's new favorite toy.  He'll sit and open it over and over and over again listening to the music.  It cracks me up!

Yesterday DH got a birthday card that plays the Imperial March from Star Wars.  Of course this one is a big hit with DS!  He sits down and opens one card for a minute or two and then plays with the other one for a few.  It is so funny watching him engrossed with the music that he can control.  He is so delighted.  I love it!

    My mom sent a random birthday card to DS (random b/c it wasn't his birthday) and he loved it - listening to the Itsy Bitsy Spider over and over and over... I wish it was Star Wars!! :)

    please be careful with that and make sure you're around when the new "toy" is being used. i work in a hospital and i took care of an 11 month old baby who swallowed a button battery out of one of those greeting cards and was intubated (on a breathing machine) for 2 months because the battery acid destroyed her esophagus and into her trachea. it was so sad.
