Yay! My first reference letter came in! and other updates

So, our adoption process is proceeding at an mind-blowingly slow pace (which is why I've barely mentioned it lately), but we finally got our first letter of reference! We need three, and I have one friend working on hers, and dh needs to ask one more person. Still,it feels really good to get it & to read the nice things.

We're pretty?much?done with our paperwork. We?just?need to get our physicals & fill out a questionnare on adopting transracially/culturally & figure out what our limitations are as far as medical/mental issues.

Next we'll have one more joint interview and then I think we've decided to wait until we move into the new home (in January/early February) to have our home inspection. So, this is really taking way, way longer than I thought, but it's at our pace and I guess that's good. But I?just?want?to get in the books already!?
