If you are 80% or more effaced....

how long have you been that way? At my Dr.s appointment this past Thursday, I had gone from 30% to 80% in a week and my OB gave me the "be ready at any moment speech". I, however, would like LO to stay in a few more weeks at least for several reasons. =) I just wanted to know if anyone else had been at 80% or more for a while to ease my mind. I know it's not a guarantee either way but I just wanted to hear from others in the same boat.

    I have been 80-90% effaced - 3cm for about 3 weeks.  At my last appointment on Thursday she said i was about 4cm dilated.  My due date was Friday and I'm still here. :)

    I was 90% effaced and 2.5 cm at my doctor appointment 2 weeks ago, and still 90% effaced and 3 cm this last wek. The doctor gave me the "any day now" speech as well, but I'm still here.

    10 days and counting since my first internal showed me to be 80-90%.

    1 cm & 90% effaced since Wed. I think I'm in for the long haul now...

    At 38 weeks I was 75% effaced and 3cm.  At 39 weeks I was 100% effaced and 4cm.  My daughter was born on her due date 3 hours after my water broke while I was sleeping.  So I walked around for 2 weeks at 75% or more effaced.
