anyone have the mirena and have this side effect

since i got my mirena 1 year ago, i literally cant stop getting up to pee in the middle of the night. i get usually 6-7 hours of sleep but am up 4-5 times to pee. i know this is weird but i was thinking the iud could be causing this and maybe i should take it out? thoughts

    Hi, I don't have Mirena but I think you should call your Dr because you might have another condition.

    I have mirena and do this quite often. But it is not because of Mirena. Pregnancy does crazy things to your body and I chalk it up to that. Just bladder weakness. I can't hold hardly any pee without feeling the urge to go. My doc said that sometimes this happens and that is all he said. I have been doing keegles trying to fix the problem, but nothing has worked.

    same problem here. sometimes it keeps me up b/c i have constant urges? how do you calm it down? i been to the urologist and nothing is wrong

    I've had Mirena for a total of 5 years (3+ years pre-baby, almost 2 years post-baby) and haven't had that side effect. I did have that when I had interstitial cystitis, but that was pre-Mirena.

    I haven't figured that out yet! I have however stopped drinking anything past 7 and it seems to help. I only get up twice a night now, sometimes once a night. So that is a big improvement. Sorry I can't be more help.
