3rd Trimester

i guess we sit around and wait for 10 weeks

everything we need is bought. well, with the exception of my breast pump and milk storage accessories. i'm waiting to get a "diagnoses" after the baby is born so my doctor will put an order in and it will be covered by insurance. oh, and diapers, still need those too.

everything is built. the room is ready. the place is ready. everything is done except wash the clothes, bedding, and everything else. i'm planning to do all of that around 35 weeks.

i guess the only thing left to do is go to my appointments and baby/birthing classes i have lined up.

i think i'm going to be bored for the next ten weeks. seriously, i even put the diaper genie cartridge in the base and put it in the bathroom today.

what can i do to pass time? just re-clean everything?

  • Wish I were you!!! I do not have ONE thing done....well, we have a crib (our son's old crib) that's it...no items, clothes, accessories, NOTHING. I run a very busy business that does not slow down until November. I'm amazed I find time to even post on the boards. Feel like I'm drowning in To-Do's.....

    Lucky you!

  • I don't think you realize that is alot of stuff still left to do.... After I washed everything I rearranged things over and over again. Do you have your pediatrician and stuff already? I spent alot of time doing research on vaccines, getting batteries for everything and the classes are fun and will give you something to look forward too. Its when you have done all that then you start to go What next?

pediatrician is chosen, paperwork is filled out, etc. etc. etc. i guess i'm type a. vaccines were discussed at the meet and greet. we bought batteries two weeks ago (lol). i guess i'll keep opening every single post on here to see if any new ideas are planted in my head.

  • Just be grateful you have a healthy inside baby, and enjoy the time you still have to spend with your husband, sleeping, etc.

  • Talk about being prepared!  We have almost nothing yet.  We're getting our house redone with all new laminate and we don't want to buy all the furniture and have to pay to have that moved around.  Plus, we're waiting for our shower and hoping we have to buy not as much, as the mother-in-law mentioned she would help us with the completion. ;)
  • Sleep in, watch TV, pee without a baby in the bathroom, shower without a baby in the bathroom, go to dinner at 9pm with your husband, sleep some more. ?:)

Get a job.  Take a walk.  Start a new hobby.  What the heck would you be doing if you weren't pregnant?

  • ENJOY THIS TIME!!!! RELAX!! SLEEP!  This is the first moment I have sat down since 5:30 this morning.  I long for those lazy last few weeks I had with my first pregnancy...I don't get that this time with my 17 month old running around non stop.
