C-section moms, come in!!

Just a quick question--how long did you bleed after your c-section?  Did you have clots?

Here's a little background about why I'm asking--I had my c-section on September 8th.  I have bled every day since.  Sometimes it's a lot (a few pads a day) and sometimes it's a little (brown discharge and one pad per day).  But a couple weeks ago, I started getting golf ball sized clots.  I did go to the doctor for this, and he was concerned enough to put me onmeds that cramp up my uterus and make it stop.  Now I have no clots, but I am still bleeding.  It will be a month in six days.

I was just curious if I should call my doctor again or just wait it out until my appointment in three weeks.  If anyone can share their experience or offer some advice, I would be so appreciative!

    I bled for a long time with my first baby/c-section, probably a good month to 6 weeks.  But apparently I am a heavy bleeder, because I bled heavily after my D&C, after baby #2/c-section and also my Mirena insertion this past January.

    And now you probably know more about me then you wanted to, ha ha!

    If I were you, I would give it about another week, then call if it has not let up, or has not turned to brown spotting.

    I bled for quite a while after my c/s, like 6 weeks.  I would bleed harder on days that I did too much.

    sounds pretty normal.  i bled for 8 weeks, but it was extremely light for the last 2 weeks.  i think i've heard that if you're still bleeding after 8 weeks to give them a call.

    I bled for 6w. Heavily for the first week, maybe 10 days, but then mostly it came and went. I'd get the occasional gush, but mostly it was more like heavy spotting, I'd say. No clots.

    I bled for 2.5 weeks, but I had very large clots.
