I've been procrastinating making my grocery list/meal plan all week. I need to go tomorrow and nothing sounds good. I seriously feel like eating out everyday.....Outback, Bravos, Pizza Hut, Panera, and Scholotzkys Deli....does that sound like a good meal plan for the week. J/K! Errr......need motivation....
Re: Don't want to cook/meal plan....ugh!
I am glad I'm not the only one who sometimes drags their feet about doing this. I am HOPELESS if I don't have a plan for every day, though. I mean I stand around in my kitchen, aimlessly opening & closing the fridge & the cupboards for 10 minutes until my hubby finally walks in & says, "let's have x & y for dinner." truly.
It's about the same if I go to the store without a list - the 1 time I have done this recently, I wandered around in there for 15 minutes & finally left with milk, bread, and peanut butter. That's all I could think of. This from someone who has been doing all the cooking for myself & my family, for, well, always. Honestly, it's pathetic.
Thankfully I seem to do fine with a plan!! Hope you are better off than me.
I'm always so good with my planning--until I got preggo. I've been so tired lately, that it has been DH-made meals (spaghetti, soup) or we've eaten out. The times I did make something, it was super-quick.
I had lovely crock-pot meals planned this week, but forgot that I still needed to PREP them. Therefore, nuttin'.
My latest favorite meal: rice, can(s) of soup, water, seasonings: mix in 9x13 pan, cover with foil, bake at 350 for an hour, hour&half

I don't plan by day...I do it by week. I'll look at what I have on hand, make a list of meals and then write them down. Each day I look at the list, pick what sounds good and make that.
But I also give myself one day each week that is a pizza night. That night we can order out, make frozen or make homemade if I am up to it.
