Idaho Babies

all the non Boise/Cd'A moms...

So we all live in Idaho... not exactly the shopping metropolis that a lot of the moms on other boards are working with. If you live close enough to Boise and maybe Couer d'Alene, maybe there are plenty of options, but the rest of us... maybe a wal-mart and macy's (if we are lucky). What are your shopping tips. I thought there was no shopping when I was a very average size... now trying to find maternity clothes is crazy. Maybe I'm crazy, I had high hopes of being a super cute bumpie...not just fat and frumpy looking. What are some solutions you guys are coming up with? I know everyone is going to give me websites (if i'm lucky enough to get responces) but I'm a little scared. This is a body shape I haven't worked with before. I don't know my size or really anything about the maternity lines.  Thanks in advance. I don't mean to sound like a big whiner, I'm just confused and excited to show off my "bump". :)

  • I don't live in Lewiston, but I did a quick search and I came up with this place (Born Again Resale).   I have no idea what part of town they're in, or if they are good quality, but it's something to check out. They mention that they have the pregnancy belly on hand, so you can try clothes on with the belly. :)  That would be helpful, maybe?

I'm lucky enough to live in the Treasure Valley, so I went to Target for my clothes.  Old Navy online is good for clothes as well.

    I'm sorry I'm not much help.  :(

  • Sorry, I'm in the Treasure Valley area too, but I wanted to mention that each time I go by the juniors dept., I always think they are maternity shirts.  It doesn't help with the pants, but maybe you could find some cutesy tops that aren't made for pg, but work.
  • I have the same problems- I have a Walmart nearby... that's about it. I tried on a few limited things there so I kind of knew sizes and my mom bought me some things and sent them. Even if you try on something you would never wear and get the size it would make shopping online a little easier and less intimidating.
  • Shopko and JcPenny are good.......also Ross's

  • I'm in Moscow so I know how you feel.  I've found some at JC Penny's, Old Navy and Ross.  Other than that there isn't much around here.  Like a previous poster said, you can try more flowy tops, I've found some that work.  Good luck!
