Fee for seeing Phipps Santa...

Just saw this on ajc.com. I don't get into the whole Phipps Santa craze..but I know quite a few of you like to go see him and thought you might want to see this:

Yeah it is on their website too. I am not thrilled and I guess we have the people that book appts and no show. It sucks, but I will still be signing up!

It's not that big of a deal... $10 of it goes twowards your pictures or video. It is all b/c of stupid parents who try to grab up multiple appointments. They ruined it for everyone else. But I would take paying an additional $5 over standing in a long line!

This exactly. It's really only $5 and we plan on ordering pictures anyway.

I know there are other places without lines but I love the classic look of the Phipps Santa. The old reds and greens. Not hot pink, neon green and white. Plus it's a fun tradition but, I do have plenty of friends who don't think it's worth it.

I think I have mentioned this before but Alice Park of Alice Park Photography does an AMAZING job at BBraithwaite every year. The pictures are amazing and your family can jump in for a few as well. They give you a little 5-10 min time slot, no line and you leave with a CD full of pictures for you to do what you want.

If anyone wants to see the pic of Perimeter dude, let me know. He is classic, and you can actually sit over to the side and be out of the picture if you LO doesn't want to go to Santa without screaming. I don't get the Phipps guy but understand the tradtion he gives to many.

ditto b.braithwaite. I think it's $45, but I can't remember. We deviated last year and went to Phipps and I didn't think it was worth it at all. They only took one picture and it was crappy quality.

I would . I don't think I've ever seen him. Plus I always love to see vintage Ga baby pictures.

Ananchel Photography comes and does Santa pics at Cutie Pies in Dunwoody every year, and they're adorable. You sign up for a time and they have goodies and things on hand for the kids and adults.

We had a wonderful experience last year. And we didn't have to fight the crowds to to the mall and didn't have to wait in line. I also love the fact that he actually talks to your child instead of the normal, 10 second routine: baby sits in lap, snap the picture, on to the next child. My other friends don't think its worth it, but I'm all about the experience.

Love me some Phipps Santa....he's wonderful! He told Harrison last year that he was a lucky little boy to have a beautiful baby sister and a mommy and daddy who love him so much. When he got off his lap, he said God Bless you little ones. Ugh...melted!
