Backwards initials... need your input

I never thought I'd do it - I giggled at poor ladies desperately seeking opinions on names.  But now I have officially dove off the deep end.  So tell me if I'm overthinking this.

Our top-runner name has the initials GAF.  Absolutely fine in any combination (straightforward, monogram style, etc), except backwards. 

Now give me a slap in the face and tell me that this is NOT a reason to reconsider using my husband's name as a middle name.  Or tell me I've got a point.  Either way.

    I think it's fine. I never even thought to look at initials backwards until I read the title of this post. Never.

    well it isn't forwards so that isn't bad. I don't think i've ever heard anyone getting made fun of for backwards initials. I think your in the clear!

    This is not a reason to reconsider!  Have you ever thought (until now anyways) what your initials are backwards?  Or DH's?  It will never come up, don't worry!

    I think it's fine.  I don't think I have ever tried to see what anyones initials are spelled backwards (though now I'm sure I'm going to go through EVERYONE's initials that I know and do just this thanks to you haha).  I say go for it!!

    well, I can see why you'd think of it, but I don't think it's a big deal at all.  Plus lots of times monograms are first, last, middle (with the last initial being a bigger font) which would be GFA in your case, so even less noticeable.

    I agree with PPs. I didn't even consider this as I've never even looked at my initials backward. I think your name is fine.

    I think no matter how hard you try, kids will always find SOMETHING to tease each other about.  This is no reason to reconsider a name.  Finding a name is hard enough!

    I don't see a reason to fuss over it. Looks just fine. Even if the baby did those super oldfashioned monograms it'd be GFA with the big F. Still completely fine.

    I agree with previous posters - I've never thought of my initials backwards until I saw your post. I think it's fine! And, I never really used my initials on anything either. Now I am laughing because my initials backwards are LAD!  No worries! Just go with it!

    I dunno, I see where you're coming from.....

    Kids will find ANY reason to make fun of something, and I think this would be a fairly easy target once they figured it out.

    Granted our LO's forward initials will be JAB, but... what are they going to get from that... Oh, JAB that's really funny... *jabs them in eye*  not so funny now!
