So it looks like Dh will be laid off in March.  We thought he'd be safe because he spends most of his time on a big client.  But he just found out today that he'll be taken off that big client next March (which is when layoffs are going to happen..again).  Needless to say he's stressed. But at least we have time to prepare.  Good thing I just picked up another job.  He's still not happy and disappointed.  He feels like it's because of his performance and questioning his abilities...I feel bad for him and not sure what to say.  We'll figure it out..but it's just going to be stressful times coming.....

    I know..that's the only "blessing" in all of this.  We have time to prepare for it.  But it still sucks...Sad

    You seem to have a very good attitude and I wish you guys the best!  Losing a job can be such a blow to a person's sense of self-worth.

    Thankfully you have time to prepare.  DH was laid off in December and we had no warning.  He's still looking for a job so tell your DH to start looking right away (I gather from your post he's planning to).  Good luck to you.

    I was laid off with 48 hours notice.

    Tell him to start looking for a job now.  It took me 5 months to find a job.  I started exactly 6 months after I was laid off.

    Being laid off sucks.  I was the same way.  Worked on a HUGE client so I thought I was safe.

    Make sure he keeps performing at a high level just in case things change and they keep him...or in case he need a good reference.
