I thought their growth slowed down after a year..

We just had his 18m well-check today my kid is over 36 inches and over 34 lbs. He has grown almost 5 inches since his 12m check up. That is freaking crazy. Hes always been off the charts and his weight is off the charts as well.

At this rate i cant imagine when hes 2 how tall hes going to be the pedi said today hes taller than a 3 year old. Anyones else LO not slow down yet in their growth and weight??

wow, he is tall. I always thought DS was very tall for his age but your DS has him beat. DS did grow like a weed up until 18 months. Around 18 months he has slowed down a lot. at 18 months DS was 36.5 inches and 32 lbs and I don't know how tall he is but I do know he is 33.5 lbs so he has stayed the same for about 4 months. DS has always been tall and big and everyone kept saying wait till he crawls but he never slowed down. They then said wait till he walks and he never slowed down. Then it was wait till he is running and that didn't slow him down but now he is getting to the slow down point. I am curious if he will have another growth spurt anytime soon since he has stayed the same for so long now.

Wow! My brother was like that (our pedi called him the mack truck). He never really slowed down, actually. He was taller than everyone (despite being a year younger than his class) and was over 6' by high school. Heck, probably junior high. He was bigger than them, too. He/we were asked so often if he played football it was ridiculous.
