I bought one for DD from LLBean. All of their little kids' jackets come with a removable thread in sleeve that, when removed, extends the length of the sleeve by 1-1/2 inches. I'm pretty sure DD won't outgrow this coat before the winter is over.
when buying a coat remember about car seat safety. Are you going to remove the jacket everytime you put LO in the car and if so anything will do. If you don't want to take a jacket on and off you need something thin but warm. Hanna Anderson has a warm jacket that is thin. We got DS the jackets below (yes he has way to many jackets).
2 jackets that are no longer available from the Gap (the brown cord blazer cut jacket) and the blue and white letter man type sweater jacket. We are in GA so we don't get a lot (if any) snow here.
Re: Best Coat for Toddler?
We had a hand me down last year. I think it was Osh Kosh. We also have one now from Target but we haven't used it yet.
If we buy one I will probably look at baby Gap. DS has a puffer vest from there that is very nice quality and seems warm.
I just ordered this one from babygap:
I saw the brown one in the store and it's super warm and comfy! I haven't looked at their boy coats, but would imagine there's something similar.
