really sore, red butt...teething?

I read somewhere about "acidic" poop being a symptom of teething.  When DS was getting some teeth a few months back he had a poop that was so bad his skin was bleeding.  He has had the same poops the past few days, minus the bleeding.  His penis is also really red.  Anyone else experience this??  Wondering if it is teething or perhaps an infection of sorts?

    They call it drool stool for a reason!  We had the same thing on multiple occasions...it is the worst.  I always try to let her go diaperless for as long as I can when that happens to let air hit it.  Hope he feels better soon.  I know how horrible it is!!!

    We had this but it turned out to be from teething, antibiotics for an ear infection, and a yeast infection.

    GL!! I hope his poor bum heals up fast!

    We do use a natural diaper cream that is working wonders.  I have the angel baby diaper rash cream.  It clears it up quickly and I think it probably has a "cooling" feeling when I put it on.
