Not a good electronics week here. Need TV recs!

The dvd player died yesterday. The livingroom tv has been dying over the past week. Yes, they are both old but we were hoping they would last another year.

Anyway, we are going to get a new tv soon. Need some recs!

DH moved the dvd player from our bedroom to the livingroom and hooked up the portable dvd player in the bedroom. Not replacing that right now.

    I assume you want flat screen...? Ours is Samsung. It's nice. I don't know too much else about it, except that DH always does a ton of research before we get this kind of thing. My parents have a Sony that's nice.

    We have a Sony and love it. 

    We've had DLPs in that past and the Sony LCD is by far our favorite.

    My suggestion is to get a tv with no buttons on the front....my kid drives me nuts with turning the tv on and off.

    We are going with the flat screen. Of course, our entertainment center (hand me down from my parents) will need to be replaced too. LOL.

    LMAO!! DS loves to turn the tv on and off and then switch the channels.

    No buttons on the Samsung! They are on the top of the side.

    (Of course the cable box has enough buttons for Ds though.)
