I have put on some weight in the last year or so as a result of the fertility meds I've been on... so my clothes were getting tight to begin with.... just curious when I should start shopping?
I have a couple pair of mat. pants for when I'm really uncomfortable...

Re: when did you start wearing maternity clothes?
I bought 2 bella bands and wore some loose tops for the first trimester or so. By about 16 weeks I started to wear maternity tops and by 20 I was in complete maternity outfits.
Now, at 25 weeks, I'm finding that I have to start going up a size in certain things.
I wore the Be Band or Bella Band w/ my reg. pants until about 22 weeks. I did errands/ end of day stuff in yoga pants from either Gap or Old Navy (not maternity, but they do sell them in maternity FYI)--they are generous on their elastic and I still wear those at almost 34 weeks!
Tops are a diff. story once you start to get the bump....I could wear normal tops for awhile BUT once they started to tent out (and I could feel a breeze! yikes!) , it was maternity all the way!
Everyone's body is diff. I was surely glad to have the bella band in the beg. of the 2nd tri. and to help relieve discomforts assoc. with IVF (bloat!!!) towards the end of the 1st tri. Don't feel bad if you decide to invest early on--do what is comfiest for you!
The temps are cooling down, but maxi dresses with a little cardigan or wrap over it has been a lifesaver as I now have a Shamu-sized bump and feel sooo comfy in my flowy, long dresses.
HTH and GL! Target, Old Navy, Gap Maternity have decent selections for everyday mat. wear. If you need work stuff, I heard that Ann Taylor now has Maternity and there's always Motherhood or Pea in a Pod.
Hi, Congrats on your pregnancy!
I am still in my normal clothes with a bella band (be band from Target, I ordered it on line). I love the band and bought 6 of them (2 in black, 2 in beige, and 2 in white) so that I can wear them over all of my skirts and pants. I don't plan to do maternity shopping until I feel that I really need to, maybe I can hold out until 16 weeks, but who knows. I hope to stay in my own pants longer with the bella band, but I think that I'll need maternity shirts at 16 weeks or possibly even before that.
hey girly! I just found out this morning.. lol so you didn't miss much! doc had a hunch from my betas... but it was confirmed today!
I didn't put on my first pair of maternity jeans until 19 weeks, and I still have been able to wear some reg jeans. I haven't yet had to pull out a maternity top, as I do have some pretty stretchy (and long) shirts. Plus all my old stuff from my son is summer and short sleeve
I say start them whenever you want. You are going to want to be comfy!!
