Did you bring your DH to the NT Scan?

uhh yeah. But they dont give you results, just give you a scan.

Yes! It was great for us to see the LO on the u/s together. Not really a support situation though. You don't get results until later.

I wanted him to come but he had back to school night and we couldn't reschedule.

So my mom came, we got the results as the scan was going on since the doctor did the scan.

Yes. He sat through the genetic counseling with me and helped the counselor create an accurate medical history for both sides of baby's family tree. The ultrasound portion of it was a really fun experience for both of us.

My old practice did not allow anyone but the patient and tech in the room for the NT scan.

I wanted him to come but he wasn't able to due to a planned vacation with his dad so my mom came. I wanted support since it was the 1st u/s since the confirmation one and I wanted someone there with me just in case there was an issue since I wasn't feeling LO. It was fun to share the experience with someone but ultimately, I did wish it was DH.

YES! You get to see the baby wiggling around for a long time. It was really fun for us, I think that is when it seemed really real....

I brought DH so he could see the baby. We didn't get our results until later.

I will add that I also wanted him there for support. You can't get your screening results at the scan, but there are other ways an u/s can go bad... after having one loss I was pretty scared until we saw him moving around in there.

Mine couldn't come so my mom came instead. I was told the results at the appt. I think it was just the tech no doctor was present.

He came with for emotional support and also the same desire to get another chance to see the baby. The LO moved around so much after the tech got to take measurements and the next thing we saw was the baby turn its back to us and then look over the shoulder as if he/she knew we were watching. It had us all cracking up. Right after the u/s we were given genetic counseling and was asked if we would like to participate in a trial for pregnant and thyroid problems. Didn't get the results for the tests for the trial but my latest dr appt was today and was given the results of the nt scan and everything looks good and the dr was very impressed how well it came out. I guess he thought I would have gotten higher because I'm 40.

Well, support, I suppose, but mainly so that he could see his child! He's been able to make it to all of my appointments so far, but he would never miss an ultrasound.

The doctor came in after the scan and explained all the results to us the same day (but we didn't get the blood results, obviously). My DH came with me.

We did get preliminary results based on some of the information, and the office offered about half an hour of counseling to explain the tests and what the results would mean when we got them. Some very basic information about genetics for us, but still really useful. Also, we didn't have any prior u/s.

Yes, and my doctor told us the results right after the scan (they took blood at 10 weeks and then I had the scan at 12 weeks and the doc told us the results right away).

Yep, but DH comes with me to all the doctor's appointments because I have really really bad anxiety when it comes to doctors and sometimes don't even hear what they're saying because I'm in my own world.
