Babies on the Brain

I have a Scottish namesake!

So my dad is a beef geneticist and has been in Scotland all this week looking at bulls.  He was at a cattle ranch yesterday and one of the cows had just given birth to a calf.  They needed a name that starts with E, so he suggestion Erin after his favorite daughter.

How cute is Erin the day-old calf??  LOL.

  • Awwwwwww!

Now that you have a calf named after you you can give birth.

  • I *puffy pink heart* baby cows!

When I was little my parents would drive down to NJ to visit my mom's parents every few months.  25 years ago their part of the state was pretty rural.  My mom said I would go batschitcrazy when I'd see calves out my window & scream "BABY COWS!!!".

    I collect cow figurines.

Have you seen the 'Cows on Parade' figurines?  My mom has over 200 of them!

I was just about to type that I have one that I was going to get rid of in a yard sale and went to google a pic of it.  Turns out it's retired and worth $65.....nice!
