I eat so much it is ridiculous. ?I EBF my son, and will EBF until 6 months, and will then start solids and hope to keep BFing until at least one year. ?I am about at my pre-preg weight (although with no muscle tone, so it's not pretty!), and very slowly losing weight still. ?My question is: how long will I be this hungry? ?Are you this hungry when nursing a toddler, or does the appetite relax a bit? ?Will I gain 100 lbs once I wean because I will still be crazy hungry, or will my appetite go back to normal?
Re: Breastfeeding and appetite
I think I'm an exception to practically every rule out there. I am not nearly as hungry now as I was pre-pregnancy. At 3m pp, I'm just now getting my appetite back.
I often feel like I'm not doing enough to keep good nutrition in my body...
Yeah, I gained 10lbs when DD weaned. Stupid jerk eating habits.
I'm still super hungry all the time and DD is 16 months old. Even after she started solids, she was still drinkiing about 21-24 oz. of EBM while I was at work and nursing 2-3 x with me in the morning and evening up until about 1 year.
I may still be crazy hungry now because on top of BFing, I am running around after her all day. I seriously don't get to sit down unless we're eating meals or after DD has gone to bed.
