When can I start giving LO fresh squeezed juice?

She doesnt get juice. Just water. But, I just got a juicer and was thinking of making her an apple, carrot, grape juice combo. I actually loved drinking this combo when i was preggo and its 100% fruit. She is in her picky stage of eating and im worried she is not eating enough fruit.

Is she old enough for me to give this to her? I would not store it overnight. Just give it to her in her sippy directly after making.

Thanks!

  • As long as there aren't big chunks of stuff in it, I would think she could drink juice whenever.  Why wouldn't you give it to her?

  • There is no technical reason why you can't give it to her now.  However, you don't want her to begin to refuse water or dairy because she loves this juice so much.  Also, I would probably dilute it, as it will be really potent and sweet to her.  Obviously, it is lacking the fiber she would get from eating the fruits and veggies in their original form, but from a allergy/intestinal maturity/etc. stand point, it is fine.
  • Our pedi said it was fine whenever, so long as we only stored it frozen (since it isn't pasteurized) if storing and made sure the juicer was good and clean.  I don't know why you'd drink juice yourself from a skank juicer but that was his advice. lol
