What of LO's are you washing?? All new clothes?? And this might sound dumb but how are you washing? Whites in one load and colors in another?? And how much can you wash at once since these little outfits are much less than my normal stuff going in.
I'm pretty much washing everything that I can that he will come into contact with (clothes, bedding, swaddling blankets, burp cloths, receiving blankets, etc).
I throw everything in together, so far so good!! I'm using a free and clear detergent and no dryer sheets.
You can definitely fit a lot more into one load because everything is so little!
I washed all newborn clothes and all clothes that were 0-3 months. I also washed all burp clothes, blankets, receiving blankets, socks, hats, and sheets. I did whites and colors separate and I put in as much that would fit in the washer. Quite a bit can fit since they are so small.
I put plastic toys in a dishwasher basket and put in the dishwasher.

Ditto except I made a white/light load and a dark load.
I'm washing everything he will wear 0-3mo's and his 3-6mos. Kinda unsure about his size so I'm holding off on his 6mo's stuff for now. Except I washed all the onesies i got from a garage sale which is enough to last him until 9mos. And I'm washing his bedding, blankets, burp clothes, pretty much anything that he will come into contact with will be washed. All his stuff like car seat, stroller, swing, bouncy seat and mattress ect I have put together and I'm letting them air out.

All of his new clothes are getting washed.
I got some hand-me-downs and was told that they were already washed, but because I'm a bit nutty, I'll wash them again just to be sure they are clean.
