Can your picky eater top mine?

I'm just reading these posts about kids eating polenta and fish tacos ... there is seriously no way Lily would touch that. Other things my kid will absolutely not eat include:

Grilled cheese, pasta of any sort with any type of topping (sauce, cheese, butter), cheese crisp, fish sticks, meatballs, any kind of veggie, any chicken made by me (baked or fried), most breads and sandwich meats

What DOES she eat? Ian's chicken nuggets for dinner (no breading), cheese sticks and fruit. That's about it. Yesterday I got her to eat an apple/carrot sauce and was so excited because that counts as a veggie in my pathetic book!

  • oh wow.  that sounds so frustrating.

  • Fortunately for me, my DS has turned the corner and is now eating veggies and meat.  I thought we would never get here.  YEAH!  There is still hope.
  • My dd will pretty much only eat fruit, eggs, sometimes cheese, sometimes chicken, toast, waffles, and yogurt.?
  • I think Lily's got a contender. DD will ONLY eat: grilled chese or quesadillas, sweet potato/chicken puree, cantaloupe, and any sort of carb snack (puffs, etc). I just discovered those apple/carrot puree packs at TJ's and was also excited DD ate it. Sounds like a nasty combo, but maybe not! :)
  • We must have the same child. Oak's repertoire includes waffles, yogurt, grilled cheese, puffs/cheerios, lil crunchies, breakfast bars, and beans. The only fruit or veggies he will consume are those that are pureed STILL. I have tried everything under the sun and he just won't eat it.
  • wow I thought my kid was picky but she'll eat grilled cheese and pastas. that sucks so sorry I know how hard it is. my dd will sometime just eat plain rice or cereal and milk the entire day!

  • We are lucky.  Colin is a horrible napper/sleeper, but eats everything (except for meat right now, not sure of the deal).  He actually steals other kids food at daycare.  And its not pudding snacks...he steals beans and peas, etc.  Too funny.
