I am due March 22 with my first baby!! I am 28 yrs old. I graduated high school from El Reno and graduated college from OSU. I met my husband while we were both teachers at a youth retreat, got married a little over a year later, and we are both very excited about our baby's arrival.
We have gotten a couple things for the baby already because we went to the Friends Consignment Sale at the fairgrounds and got a stroller, carseat, base, a chair with ottoman, baby monitor, and then we just recently were given the baby crib as a gift. So the more we we, the more real it becomes and the more excited we are getting.
I am looking most forward to being a mom because I am looking forward to loving something so unconditional and being able to raise the baby and teach it so many things.
My favorite thing about OKC or favorite place to go in OKC...well, I really love Nichols Hills during Christmas time and getting some Starbucks and driving around looking at all the lights.
What is your due date? I'm not pregnant..... but my son was born November 28, 2008.

What is your favorite thing about OKC, or where is your favorite place to go in OKC? I like that it's a large city, but not TOO big.
FYI to the OP... this board is for all of Oklahoma, not just OKC and it's for pregnant women and moms.

I went to Edmond Memorial, then went to college out of state.
I met my husband on E-harmony of all places!
My sister has 3 kiddos, and all of her stuff is in my attic, so I may not ever have to make a purchase.
I am a step parent now, and I just can't wait to have one that is ours!
I love OKC/Edmond, and it is hard to pick a favorite..... I love all of the locally owned restaurants (Iguana, Cheevers, Paseo Grill, etc....)
My DS is due Feb 12, 2010. I'm 26 yrs old and went to OKC public schools and then Cameron Univ in Lawton and UCO. My husband and i met through a mutual friend when i was a senior in high school and have been together ever since!
We're lucky that we have a lot of good friends that have recently had babies. We've already received a crib, bassinet, lots of clothes and a swing. All we've purchased so far is a couple of outfits and bibs. But we also have a couple of people wanting to do baby showers for us. We're so blessed! Mainly I'm looking forward to meeting this wonderful little person and seeing who he's most like.
What is your due date? I'm still not sure if I am pregnant ... to soon to tell. Will be my first if I am.

Went to Classen School of Advanced Studies in high school, UCO for college.
I met my SO at Paseo Grill. A PP fav. place in okc.
The first thing I bought for DS was a bath robe at a garage sale when I was about 18 weeks.
My fav. thing about being a mom is the way DS smiles at me. He doesn't look at anyone else the way he looks at me
I like going out to eat, Paseo grill, red prime, cheevers, yummm. I also like warren theatre.?

Where did you attend high school or college? I attended High school in SD. And I am doing embery riddle university for college
How did you meet your significant other/husband? In a friends dorm room. I think it was mostly me chasing him but he liked me too!
Have you purchased anything for the baby yet? No, we agreed nothing till after 13 weeks.
What are you most looking forward to about being a mom? Loving someone as much as my husband and I love each other.
What is your favorite thing about OKC, or where is your favorite place to go in OKC? I really like the malls here. they are huge!! And all the great food places that arent chain resturants, they are all amazing.
I am due June 15th, 2010. My husband and I have been together for 5 years, and are excited to have our first child. We've tried to limit the baby shopping until we know if it's a boy or girl..but some of the items are just too cute to pass up! I'm most excited about seeing our family grow, and move from being an "us" to a "family". I can't wait to see my husband as a "daddy", he's so excited already.

Have you purchased anything for the baby yet? Lots of stuff, no big purchases yet, hubby is making the crib and changing table...we're getting a glider when his taxes come through...I've just bought a couple of toys (and a few from my childhood) and probably too many clothes!!
My mum bought me a few things when we found out we were having a girl. 
What are you most looking forward to about being a mom? Teaching my LO and helping and encouraging her to learn and grow

My due date is October 4 2010 and this is baby numero uno for my hubby and me. I was born in California, finished high school in Oklahoma and attended OU. I met my hubby in high school on an AP Physics trip and loved him shortly thereafter. So far, we haven't purchased anything for the baby yet but I started my registries in my third month! We found out we are having a girl on the 29th of April so I can finally complete them all now. I'm registered at about a trillion different places! :-)
I don't know if there's just one thing I can single out as something I most look forward to about being a mommy but I can say that I'm excited to have my own little family. Christmas has always been my and my husband's favorite time of year but this year will be...I have no words.
My favorite thing about OKC right now is the fact that it's a city that's growth hungry. A lot of great things are happening right now. The Thunder is hot after only one season. Museums, big buildings, Core to Shore and Project 180 plans are all underway and the city is working hard to support it's artists. It's pretty great.
I love the bump and I'm really psyched about getting to know you mommies and mommies to be. Thanks for sharing your posts.

Where did you attend high school or college? I went to high school in Chandler, OK and went to UCO, but didn't graduate.
How did you meet your significant other/husband? I work with about 6 of his family members and after I had been with my company for about a year and a half one of his cousins set us up.
Have you purchased anything for the baby yet? Not yet! But, my little 4 year old neice gave me a stuffed lady bug and said that I could tell my baby that cousin Caitlin gave it it's first present.
What are you most looking forward to about being a mom? Everything really! Just taking care of a life...and having something that is both me and my husband here...it will be amazing.
What is your favorite thing about OKC, or where is your favorite place to go in OKC? My favorite thing about OKC is that all my family is so close. My favorite place...hmmm....probably the zoo. I just love animals!
