Re: Why do you have to take Baby Aspirin for IVF??

  • It promotes blood flow to the uterus to make a nice cushy home for a little embie to implant.

  • My RE said it was for blood throw through the uterus/thickening and possibly aiding in implantation.
  • I think it improves blood flow/is good for your lining.

But I'm not certain - I wasn't told to take it until the day of retrieval.

  • Oh okay - thanks.

  • It also helps prevent miscarriages if you have any undetected blood clotting disorders. I will be on baby aspirin until 20 weeks just to be on the safe side....

  • I take it for slight clotting issues, but it also promotes blood flow to your ute to help make a nice home for your embies. :)
