Having a baby....

in 3rd Trimester

is still kind of an abstract concept to me.  I don't imagine what he will look like (though I often wonder), or what he will sound like, or how I will look after he comes....

While my due date is getting closer by the day, and I am fully "prepared" to have the baby.... it still just does not seem like something that is going to be happening soon.  My mother said I will still feel like this for a while after I have had him and I will spend a lot of time staring at him in disbelief.

 Anyone else feel this way?

    Yup. Granted, I have a little longer to go than you, but I was sitting in our childbirth/lamaze class the other night and had this moment of..why am I herer? I'm not having a baby... oh yeah. oh sh!t! I have moments when I plan for her or picture me & DH with her, but honestly I have no idea what it will be like...

    yes, its really starting to hit home. im having mine a week from today...still seems sooo surreal.

    I still have a couple months to go, but I have this thought daily.
    ds #1 | our perfect miracle born 39w1d | 12.9.2009 loss #1 | natural m/c 7/2010 (~8w) loss #2 | chemical pregnancy 6/2011 (4w4d) loss #3 | chemical pregnancy 7/2011 (4w3d) loss #4 | natural m/c 11/2011 (10w1d) RPL Testing 12/2011. Results 100% normal. ds #2 | our 2nd perfect miracle born 36w3d | 12.31.2012

    DH and I were talking about this last night. We were like "Holy cow! We're going to be parents in about a month?!?! WTF???" Totally abstract concept to both of us and I'm sure this feeling will last awhile.

    Yes, I feel like this also. Sometimes I'll look at my u/s pic from 22 weeks and wonder what he'll look like. But mostly I sit in the nursery glider looking around and wondering when he'll make his arrival and can't believe he'll be sleeping in his crib soon. It's so surreal.

    Oh yeah, Im not as close as you, but its weird I know shes in there moving around and what not but somehow cant imagine actually having her in my arms Im going to be staring in disbelief for awhile :)
