Nestie babies are more awesome and loveable than the general population of babies, and therefore ALWAYS the favorite of everyone anywhere they go?

thats close to my theory. mine is more so "first time parents are delusional" (hey, i was too - so im not saying i didnt do the same things)

no. first time parents really are wackadoos. i can see i was one in hindsight. now im so "eh, sometimes sawyer is annoying and doesn't look cute". as opposed to when aidan was this age and i thought "aidan always looks cute and her yelling is adorable!!"
see - delusional. i know now that sometimes kids are a pain, sometimes other people are annoyed with them, sometimes my kid is not the cutest in the room. some first time parents do NOT understand that.
My theory is that for how much daycare can be villified in some circles, if more than 60% of us think that our child is the care provider's most favorite in the whole class, they are obviously doing a great job.

Exactly! These things are scientifically proven to increase awesomeness, and I know this because DS only has one of them and he is the awesomest baby I know. And if he was in daycare, I know he'd be the favorite. And his yelling is cute!
Seriously, WTF is your point with all of this? First time moms are delusional, daycare providers are deceptive, blah blah. Good for you for being a SAH 2nd time mom, now stop being so obnoxious.

so did i. thats why i was joking around at the beginning of this thread.
but i do think its really weird to say that a DCP is "doing a great job" bc they make you feel as if your child is the best. i think thats a very odd theory. its their job to make you feel as if your child is the best. its not deceit (as vanilla liked to twist) - its just part of the job on making a parent feel comfortable.

Mother's Day Out - I *think*
mother's day out. its like pre-pre-school. she plays, learns colors, numbers, letters, and shapes, and goes home.
its mostly through churches around here. it starts pretty young - maybe like 12 or 18 months?
Ohhhh I think that is MOPS here.
That is where DD's illness came from. One of the moms in my playgroup went there and her kid got sick from that daycare and gave it to DD.
Do you have to go talk about God with other moms and they teach your child about Christianity too?

that is different. that's "moms of preschoolers" and i think thats a playgroup - like the parents have to go too. MDO is like school where i drop her off, they have lesson plans, they learn things and sings songs and then i pick her up at 2.
and eh, the one we go to - yes. i mean, she colors pics of noah's ark and stuff. but i am not certain that they are all like that. but i certainly do not talk about God with other moms haha i go home or to the gym or to do something with sawyer.
