and what did your ob/midwife do? i know they check and make sure all is healed and discuss bc, buut is there anything else? do they check the baby for anything?

Nope, he did not. No, they didn't check the baby for anything. They do everything you said, and also ask you questions about how you are feeling emotionally/mentally.

Mine stayed home and watched the baby, although my OB was disappointed by that because I think her favorite part of those visits was seeing the babies. I don't remember what all was discussed other than birth control.

No, mine stayed home with M. He and M came with me for my 2 week check (i had c/s).

DH was at work. I brought DD in with me. We talked about BC, did a PAP, made sure everything was healed and that was about it.

He did, and he had to hold my hand because I didn't want anything touching my bits. Basically it was a pap and some questions with the midwife.

Ick I wouldn't have wanted dh there! I did bring Cruz though. But they don't check them, once you have the baby the pedi is in control!
