GD - what time frame do you test after you eat?

    I am supposed to check 2 hrs after, but I know that some do 1 hr.  The numbers differ depending on your time.  I try to get it as close to the exact time, but it is usually give or take a few minutes.

    I check one hour after I eat, and my doctor like to see my numbers under 120.

    1 hour after my last bite after breakfast, lunch, dinner.

    numbers should be under 125
    fasting #'s should be under 90

    1 hour.  Sometimes I am not one hour on the dot, but I know the rules:

    Need to be under 140 at 1 hour and under 120 at 2 hours so as long as I am under one of those or close enough, my doc is not concerned.  I just mark it if I test at the wrong time.

    EDIT:  I test at 1 hour 90% of the time, but I am not going to whip my meter out on the highway or while I am at a client dinner.

    I test at 1 hour after my first bite.  I'm supposed to be under 7.8 (140.4) at the 1 hour mark or under 6.8 (122.4) at the 2 hour mark.  

    Like others have said I test at the one hour mark most of the time but if I'm out for dinner or in transit I wait until the 2 hour mark.

    February 12th, 2012: BFP! EDD 10/23/12
    Mar 12th 2012: diagnosed as blighted ovum
