my mom who watched my son thaws out 4-5 oz and puts it in a bottle. sometimes he eats it all, and sometimes he only eats 3 oz. can she re-refrigerate the leftover bm and use at next feeding? why or why not.

Not sure on the 'technical' answer but my personal preference would be to use it within the hour and not re-heat it. If it was fresh bm then it would be different but since it's frozen, I'd use it within the hour or else toss it.

Kellymom says yes you can use it for the next feeding. Some people change nipples though. Actually the KM page is interesting reading - you can find it here.
