BOB stroller

I'm thinking of taking the plunge...thoughts?  Do you love yours, hate it?  Want to sell to me for dirt cheap, haha?

I do light jogging, but TONS of walking outside over potholed roads, and want something durable with air tires for my trip to Europe next spring...

Re: BOB stroller

  • We love our BOB stroller.  I think it is one of the best baby gear decisions we made.  It drives great outside, very smooth for the rider and driver and I think it is fairly easy to maneuver in the mall/stores. We even took it on the beach once and just locked the front wheel and it was pretty easy to steer.

We have had it since DD was born, so we also had the infant seat adapter for our Graco Snugride.  Once we were done using the infant seat, the adapter has a snack tray that you can install which is great for a toddler.  My MIL purchased it for us as a gift and although she thought it was pricey at the time, she now recommends it to all of her grandma friends.  She watches DD once a week and she always wants me to leave the stroller so they can go on a walk.  Too cute!   Let me know if you have any other specific questions.

  • We love ours. We take it over lots of rough surfaces. It is a little big for indoor places, we tend to take a smaller, lighter stroller when we're going somewhere via car. I personally won't trust mine to the airline baggage handlers. One thing to watch though, we've gotten several flat tires on our Bob...the tires are just like bike tires, so a nail or hefty thorn can wreak havoc.

  • It will do fantastic in Europe! I highly recommend it because the roads are so bumpy. I've never had any issues with mine. Not even a flat tire (knock on wood) and I've drug it accross the driftwood at the beach, through fields, over gravel roads, you name it, the thing will go anywhere!

  • we bought one too, and although we haven't used it for baby yet, it's pretty impressive!  Go for it!  We got ours brand new on CL for $275. HTH
  • Everyone I know who has one is happy with it, and their LOs seem super comfy. Their only complaint is it's size; it's rather heavy and bulky. Definitely not a deal-breaker for regular use, but you may want to consider something else for Spain. Europe often has smaller spaces, no elevators, etc, and you'll probably be in and out of cabs and public transit.

  • We decided to go with the Uppababy Vista over the Bob stroller because it has rubber tires, so they can't puncture. It maneuvers great and is not so bumpy either. DD loves it. Plus she can either face out or in which is cool.
  • I LOVE our BOB Revolution.  The weight limit is 70 lbs, which is at least 20 more than any other stroller I've seen.  It rides and drives so smoothly and works great for the surfaces that you are describing.  I definitely recommend it.
