Vacation ideas

Was wondering if anyone has some vacation spot ideas to go to over the christmas period? We were thinking Maui, Mexico or maybe somewhere in the Carribean. Being our first vacation trip away with an infant though we are not sure if those places would be good to take a 7mth old child.

We don't have any family over here so it will just be the 3 of us for Christmas so we thought it might be nice to get away somewhere & preferably somewhere with some sunshine!  We even thought about maybe doing a cruise again too but still not 100% that would be a great idea with an infant.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

    we stayed at an all inclusive resort in Hautulco and they had babysitters!  I have sheard mexico city is really neat at christmas time!

    I wouldn't do a cruise b/c I've heard they are such a breeding ground for germs. But a sunny vacay sure sounds good for christmas! :)

    I would try to stay somewhere that you could stay in a condo-type place so you can cook on your own sometimes, and have a good home base for naps with a separate room for naps vs. you and DH watching TV or reaidng or whatever during nap time.

    I will say nap time is what I find the hardest with travelling now.  Having to go back somewhere to make sure we get a nap just sort of sucks.
