NBR: Sad day

I had a sad day, well week and being pg is making it that much harder.

Last week I had to attend a funeral visitation some friends 17 year old daughter/niece, than today I attended a funeral for a 30 year old friend. To make it harder his 8 year old daughter wrote him a letter and read it at the funeral.

I have been to way to many funerals for young people in my life. How is it fair.

All I want to do now is sit and cry.

  • I'm sorry :( Funerals are always terrible, PG and emotional, or not. Sometimes, though, a good cry is what you need. Go ahead and let yourself. But just think.... you are continuing the circle and miracle of life.

  • I'm so sorry :o(
  • It's a cultural thing in my family where a preg woman isn't allowed/expected to go to funerals because she's supposed to keep happy during this time.  Obviously going to funerals can make someone really emotional and sad - especially with the raging hormones - so I think it's a great rule.  Not sure if you could have avoided going, but I would try and stay happy/positive as I've been told that your mood really affects the baby.

A friend of mine had to attend a funeral so on her way back, she read a book of jokes to get her mind off things and she was even able to laugh at a few.  I would suggest watching some funny comedy or reading a good book to take your mind off things.

    Hope you feel better!
